Fabric & construction details

We source our 10oz denim from Cone Denim’s White Oak plant legacy stocks and premium American mills committed to keeping selvage weaving alive stateside. The flint and tinder trucker jacket uses a tight twill weave that resists tears while breaking in beautifully over months of wear.
Every seam gets double-needle stitching with polyester thread chosen for strength and colorfastness. Bartack reinforcements anchor pocket corners and button plackets. We finish the denim version with a subtle stone wash that softens the hand without sacrificing durability, while our waxed trucker jacket variant receives a paraffin treatment for water resistance. Metal shank buttons are secured with reinforced backing, and all rivets are copper-core for authentic workwear performance.
Sizing & fit guide

This trucker jacket follows our tailored workwear fit: close to the body through the chest and waist without pulling across the shoulders. We design the armholes for layering a tee or lightweight flannel underneath, but the sleeves taper enough to avoid excess fabric bunching at the cuffs.
Most customers find their usual size works perfectly. If you’re between sizes or prefer layering heavier sweaters, size up one. The jacket measures 26 inches from shoulder to hem in size Medium, with a 22-inch chest width measured flat across. Side adjustment tabs let you dial in the waist fit by up to two inches. Sleeve length runs true to standard men’s sizing at 25 inches for Medium.
Care & maintenance

Denim version care
Wash your denim trucker jacket inside-out in cold water on gentle cycle every 15-20 wears or when visibly soiled. Skip the dryer and hang to air-dry away from direct sunlight to prevent fading and preserve the fabric’s integrity. The indigo will continue to fade beautifully with each wash, developing high-contrast whiskers at stress points.
Waxed canvas care
Brush off dirt with a stiff brush and spot-clean with a damp cloth. The wax finish resists moisture naturally and shouldn’t need washing for years. If the fabric loses its water-repellent quality, rewax with a bar of paraffin or beeswax blend rubbed into the canvas and heated gently with a hairdryer. Never machine wash waxed canvas, as heat strips the protective coating.

What people are saying

Trucker Jacket fit, fabric & care questions
Our trucker jacket runs slightly slimmer through the body than vintage Levi's Type III jackets from the '60s and '70s. We've modernized the silhouette for contemporary proportions while keeping the classic pointed collar and chest pocket placement.
The shoulders and armholes offer the same range of motion, but the waist tapers more for a tailored look. If you're familiar with vintage truckers and prefer that boxier fit, size up one from your usual size.
The denim version will handle brief drizzle or mist but isn't waterproof. The 10oz cotton denim is tightly woven and resists light moisture for 10-15 minutes before soaking through.
For genuine weather protection, we recommend our waxed canvas trucker jacket, which sheds rain effectively thanks to its paraffin treatment. The waxed version also develops a beautiful patina as the finish wears in high-friction areas.
Our denim receives a subtle stone wash at the mill, so it arrives soft enough to wear comfortably from day one. You'll notice the fabric relaxing slightly through the shoulders and elbows after the first week of regular wear.
The real magic happens around the three-month mark when the indigo starts fading at natural stress points and the jacket truly molds to your body. Unlike raw denim, you won't deal with heavy stiffness or excessive indigo transfer during break-in.
We pre-shrink all denim before cutting and sewing, so you'll see minimal shrinkage with proper care. Expect about 1-2% additional shrinkage after the first wash if you follow our cold-water, air-dry instructions.
If you accidentally machine dry the jacket on high heat, you could see up to half an inch of length reduction in both the body and sleeves. Stick to air-drying to maintain the original dimensions.
Choose denim if you want classic workwear style that fades beautifully and pairs easily with jeans or chinos for everyday casual wear. The indigo develops personalized wear patterns that tell your story over time.
Go with waxed canvas if you need weather resistance, work outdoors frequently, or prefer earth-tone outerwear. The waxed version resists wind and rain while developing a rugged patina. Both fabrics are equally durable, just suited to different use cases.
We guarantee our trucker jacket against defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the garment. If stitching fails, buttons pull off, or fabric tears under normal wear, we'll repair or replace your jacket at no charge.
The guarantee doesn't cover damage from accidents, improper care, or normal wear and tear like fading and softening. We handle warranty claims directly through our customer service team with no hassle and no receipt required.
Yes, the trucker jacket can be tailored by any competent alterations shop. The most common adjustments are shortening the sleeves and taking in the waist, both straightforward alterations that typically cost $20-40.
We don't recommend trying to enlarge the jacket or adjust shoulder width, as those modifications compromise the structural integrity. The side adjustment tabs offer up to two inches of waist customization without professional tailoring.
