Fabric & Construction That Lasts

We source our chino fabric from heritage American textile mills that have been weaving quality cotton for generations. The heavyweight twill we selected weighs in at 10 ounces per square yard—substantial enough to hold its shape through years of wear while remaining breathable for all-season comfort.
Every pair is cut and sewn in our Los Angeles factory where our team has been perfecting the craft of premium menswear since we started. We use French seams at the inseam for a clean finish that won’t fray, and we reinforce the back pockets with hidden rivets just like vintage workwear. The result is a chino that feels substantial in your hands and gets better with every wash.
How Our Chinos Fit

Straight Fit Through the Leg
Our Flint and Tinder chinos follow a classic straight-leg silhouette that runs true to size from hip to hem. The fit sits comfortably at your natural waist without riding low, and the 16-inch leg opening provides a clean break over dress shoes or boots without extra fabric bunching at the ankle.
We offer regular inseams at 32 inches and long inseams at 34 inches across our full waist size range. The fabric has minimal stretch, so we recommend ordering your true waist size—these chinos will soften and conform to your body after the first few wears without stretching out. If you typically wear pants between sizes, we suggest sizing up for a more relaxed fit through the thigh.
Care Instructions

Machine wash your chinos in cold water with like colors to preserve the fabric’s integrity and color depth. We recommend turning them inside out before washing to protect the outer finish.
Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry to prevent excess shrinkage. The cotton twill will soften naturally over time—no fabric softener needed. For a crisp look, iron while the fabric is still slightly damp using a medium-high heat setting. Touch up wrinkles with a steam iron between washes to keep them looking sharp.

Common Questions About Our Chinos
Our chinos run true to size with a classic straight fit through the leg. They sit at your natural waist with a mid-rise, which is slightly higher than modern low-rise chinos.
The leg opening measures 16 inches, giving you a clean straight silhouette without extra fabric at the ankle. If you typically wear brands like Dockers or J.Crew, order your usual size. The fabric has minimal stretch, so these will hold their shape rather than stretch out over time.
Yes, every pair of our chinos is cut and sewn in Los Angeles, California. We work with a factory that specializes in premium menswear construction and has been our partner since we started.
The cotton twill fabric is sourced from American textile mills. We’re committed to domestic manufacturing because it allows us to maintain strict quality control and support skilled jobs in the garment industry.
Our chino fabric weighs 10 ounces per square yard, which is significantly heavier than most chinos you’ll find at retail stores. This weight gives the pants structure and durability while still remaining breathable.
The heavier fabric means these chinos will hold their shape through the day and develop character as they age rather than wearing thin. They’re substantial enough for year-round wear in most climates.
You may see minimal shrinkage of about 1-2% after the first wash, which is normal for 100% cotton fabrics. We account for this in our sizing, so your chinos should fit consistently after the initial wash.
To minimize shrinkage, wash in cold water and tumble dry on low heat or hang dry. The fabric will soften naturally over time while maintaining its structure and fit.
We offer our Flint and Tinder chinos in a range of versatile colors including Khaki, Navy, Olive, Stone, and Charcoal. Each color is carefully selected to pair well with the rest of your wardrobe and maintain its depth through repeated washing.

We want you to love your chinos, so we make the return process simple. Just contact our customer service team and we’ll send you a prepaid return label. Most exchanges ship out the same day we receive your return.
Our chinos are made from 100% cotton twill without added stretch fibers. This gives them a more structured feel and helps them hold their shape throughout the day and over years of wear.
While stretch chinos can feel comfortable initially, they often lose their shape and develop saggy knees over time. Our cotton twill softens and conforms to your body naturally without stretching out. Many customers find this traditional construction more comfortable for all-day wear once the fabric breaks in.
