If you follow our care instructions and avoid machine washing, you won't experience shrinkage. The canvas is pre-shrunk during manufacturing and the wax treatment stabilizes the fibers. Hand washing in cold water and air drying maintains the original fit.
While it's technically possible to remove wax through repeated hot washing, we don't recommend it because the jacket is designed and constructed specifically for waxed canvas performance. The weight, hand feel, and structure of the fabric all work together with the wax coating.
